My experience at Mayas Native Garden Resort was a mixed bag. On one hand, the friendly staff made me feel welcome, and I enjoyed the delicious Mexican cuisine. However, the cleanliness of my accommodation and some issues with amenities left me disappointed. Overall, while there were some highlights, I felt that there were significant areas needing improvement.

I stayed in the Native Aircon Cottage, which was spacious, but I did notice the shower water pressure was quite slow. The cleanliness could also be better, as there were some concerns.
Service

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making the check-in process smooth. They were responsive to my inquiries, but there were no follow-ups on room issues.

The location is not beachfront, and while the diving centers are a bit of a walk away, I did appreciate that there were some nice views along the way.

The dining experience was quite enjoyable, with excellent Mexican cuisine. I particularly loved the enchiladas and the relaxed atmosphere at the dining area.

While the air conditioning worked great and I had ample space, the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area and presence of pests were issues that affected my stay.

My stay at Maya's Native Garden Resort was a mix of cozy comfort and a few hiccups. The budget cottage was definitely worth the money for my four-night trip, especially with the chilliness at night even without air conditioning. While the food was tasty overall, pricing felt a little high for what I received, and the service could be more consistent. Overlooking some flaws, it was a pleasant getaway, but next time, I might look for a spot with a better beach view.

I booked the fan cottage, which was cozy with a nice little terrace and hammock. However, the lighting was dim, and the shower could use some work. Also, I encountered some issues with the fan control.
Service

The staff was friendly and mostly helpful, but you need to ask explicitly for any room cleaning or towel changes. When it came to organizing car hire, I found the prices they quoted to be a bit steep.
Location
7.0
The location was pretty convenient, surrounded by restaurants and dive shops, and just a short walk to a small beach. It's not straight on the beachfront, but you can find good spots nearby.
Dining

The food was good, especially the burritos and fresh shakes, but I found it to be overpriced. Some dishes were repetitive, like the adobo chicken and dorado steak sharing similar flavors.

The basic amenities were decent, with the native feel adding to the charm. However, the kitchen cleanliness left something to be desired, as I noticed pets walking around during cooking times.

My stay at Mayas Native Garden Resort was a good experience in a tranquil setting. The staff treated me like family, and while the room was clean and comfortable, the natural surroundings meant I shared my space with a few curious critters. The food was tasty and budget-friendly, though the absence of a pool might be a drawback for some.

The resort is just a short walk from the shoreline, where I enjoyed some snorkeling. While it’s not a typical beach, the clean water and friendly village made it feel very safe.

I loved the food, especially the Tuna-Sandwich, which was quite generous in size. The service was much better than I experienced at neighboring restaurants.

While the resort lacks a pool, the beautiful garden and peaceful environment made up for it. I noticed occasional power cuts, but they were brief and didn't disrupt my stay.

My stay at Mayas Native Garden Resort was an enjoyable experience, though it had its ups and downs. The Eco Cottage was spacious and set in a lovely garden, but I found the cleanliness could be improved. The service needs some attention, particularly with the airport pickup issue I faced. Overall, the charm of the place and the beautiful surroundings made my visit nice.

My stay at Mayas Native Garden Resort was truly good. The traditional cottages made me feel right at home, and the warm welcome from the staff was the cherry on top. While I enjoyed a fantastic atmosphere and beautiful gardens, the service took a bit longer than expected, especially for meals. Overall, it was the perfect getaway from the city hustle.
